Automated Weed and Biodiversity Mapping

BETA

Our Mission

Australia's unique and precious biodiversity is being threatened by invasive plant species. They also wreak havoc on the agricultural industry. Its little surprise then weeds cost Australia more than 4 billion dollars annually. Most of the work on managing weeds is done manually including quoting and planning. We have a better way.

With Dragonfly AI, survey data from drones can be used to produce maps of an area complete with plants pinpointed, labelled and grouped according to species. Various maps can then be generated to show all species or filtered to only display or highlight the presence of certain varieties. Using this data we can generate pixel accurate ground cover estimates, detailed treatment strategies, schedules and labour / herbicide estimates and more. Visual data is then laid on top of an orthomosaic image see examples in surveying and orthomosaics tab.

Typically our data is outputted for display in GIS software which, while functional, is not beautiful so we decided it was incongruous to display it here. If you would like some sample data / maps / reports don't hesitate to request some. We also know that while most companies use GIS it may be an area some aren’t particularly comfortable. If this is the case you can request a free demo and we can give you an in person or virtual lesson on GIS at the same time.

We also have an exciting end to end automated weed management pipeline in development with more news and footage to come.
